Hello there!
Lina here.
I’ve dragged my feet long enough—it’s time. I’ve written and rewritten this email a hundred times, constantly pushing the publishing date further into the future.
Because writing is scary.
Well, writing itself isn’t that scary, but sharing your stories is. It’s like opening your door to complete strangers and inviting them to explore the weird and wonderful world inside your head. The chances of some unsavory people getting in, judging you, and dragging you down are pretty high.
But writing is also absolutely amazing!
And sharing your stories with the world offers an opportunity to meet some pretty awesome humans from all over the world.
So here we are.
Welcome to my journey of becoming a writer. (More on what this means next week.)
Here’s what to expect around here:
Weekly(ish) updates on what I’m doing to actually become a writer—and no, it has little to do with publishing at first.
Notes about every tool, lesson, and idea that helps me on my path.
Fantastical stories that spill over and need to be shared right away.
And that’s it. Short and sweet today. Next time, we’ll talk about how someone becomes a writer. I’ve heard a lot of opinions, and I have my own, which I’ll use for the purpose of this journey.
Thanks for reading!
Have a wonderful week,
Lina
